Recent weeks have seen a stabilising of butter and cheese prices in the marketplace, with a few butter suppliers starting to reduce prices.
The expectation is that any reductions will be small in the short term, and dependent on further stability of farm gate pricing.
There is still some inflationary pressure on cheddar, but this is not expected to lead to increases in the sector.
